 In the catalog the Chola Empire 1 stater the dia is 17.9  But this one is 19.5mm. Is it a 1 stater but have a full flan. Or a different coin?

Hi Daryl,

   This is the same coin as https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces17657.html. An issue of Raja Raja Chola. You can read the legend on the second image under the arm of the king's portrait.



Raja Raja conquered Ceylon (Srilanka) and issued coin from there too, but those coins do not have a crescent (moon) as can be seen on the 1st image. So it is an Issue of India (an not ceylon).
