I'll edit the list in a few minutes. Got back from Scotland yestreday and found a 2014 Isle of Man 5p (!), UK 1,2,5 and 10p and the commonwealth games 50p. I was also surprised to find a 2008 Guernsey 50p, 1997 Jersey 50p, numerous 2013 Ironside 50p's, ben britten 50p and some older commems from the UK.
Unfortunately, the Isle of Man 5p isn't on Numista yet, so hopefully I can add it to my collection on Numista soon!

Lol, we don't have coinstar machines here in the Netherlands, but while I was at Scotland last week, I found a UK twopence from 2003! First coinstar machine I ever saw in real life and I already found a coin!

If I was not traveling/moving that much I could get a lot of coins from these machines... Everytime I go to the supermarket I check the machine when I enter, and after I finish my shopping, my wife thinks I am crazy!!!
I got a Commonwealth games 2014 50p from the guy in our works canteen after I asked him to look out for commemorative 50p's for my wife who's started collecting them. Not very good condition though for a 2014 coin

Haha, yeah I know the problem! Although my Commonwealth Games 50p is in a pretty good shape, all Ironside 50p's from 2013 I found in circulation were scratched and some of them weren't even shiny anymore! Pretty strange though, considering the coin is only 1 year old... What I also noticed is the fact I found last year almost only 10p coins from 2013 and now only from 2014! Did all 2013 10p's disappear or something?

I'm not an expert in any kind of coins, but I reckon I'm good at research and will do my best to help. Feel free to tell me my identifications/valuations/gradings are wrong. It's the only way I'll learn.

I hope to have the same luck and be able to get a roll of the newest 20 pesos one that was released just this Friday.
That's quite an awesome find you got there! I believe 20 pesos coins are hard too find in general, aren't they?
You found it in circulation, so for me it's something I can add to the list. I don't care whether it's a proof coin are regular circulation coin, everything you can get in your change, is for me something to add.

20 Pesos coins are officially made to circulate and be legal tender, as the "Federation's Official Log" reads:
"...to circulate and be of legal tender -without replacing the 20 Pesos note; but alongside it- these 20 Pesos coins are to be distributed to the National Banks and from there to all financial institutions to be released to the public..."
Problem is, that mandate doesn't include any anti-hoarding plan, so the coins arrive to the 7 National Banks and instead of being distributed to the local banks they are exchanged by the same bankers or by their associates and hoard the whole mintage (or a 90%). So general public won't see them ever unless they pay 30 Pesos or more.
So, yes, I was pretty lucky that these time they requested a 20x$20 roll for me when I went to my Bank, and it was finally delivered 15 days ago.
Part of the "problem" is the small mintage (small for our circulation coins standard). They range from the 2.5 to the 14.5 million only, so they are scarce.

Went to the bank today and asked for a roll 20x$20 of the new coin "Toma de Zacatecas", they said next Monday they'll notify me if they where able to get one from their request to Guadalajara. So hopefully next week I'll know if I'll get that coin as well, in which case I would need to wait and extra week for the "Money & Values" armored truck to make their scheduled delivery.

Hehe, hopefully you'll get them. Thanks for the story btw! Do the 100 pesos bi-metallic coins circulate as well?

2003 and 2004 ones did during those two years as that was the intent when they where made, but then silver went up and peso kept going slowly down so the next years where released as Non-circulation only. Still if you want you can use them to buy stuff, but you would need to be ignorant or desperate, as the silver alone is worth over those 100 Pesos (half ounce pure silver each).

Oyeee, yesterday I found Ireland 2014 2 euro cent. So I guess they also have now been released to circulation. I hope to find more soon to add to swap list.
Quote: KartWayIreland 50 euro cent 2014. Found in circulation yesterday 3rd of October.
Nearly the end of the year...
sometimes they turn up last months of the year, first part of 2014, ony 3 5 cents, now in one week 10 5 cents of 2014.
Yea.. Even some earlier years have very few in circulation, like 2010 1 2 and 5 cent, same with 2011, while 2012 and 2013 1 and 2 cents are everywhere already.

Seems to be a common practice. Last year by August it was easy getting all coins except the 10 Pesos one, and of course the 20s, but those are always impossible to find in circulation.
Then early this year I finally got the 2013 10 and during summer the 10, 20 cents and 1 and 10 peso 2014. I even got the 2 20s at the Bank, but haven't been able to get the 20 Cents, 2 and 5 Pesos ones. I think they should show up during December or next year.

I had to get some change to keep in my car for parking. Asked at the post office for a bag of pound coins and got 20 BU 2014 £1 coins (shield of arms). Far too nice to use for parking so have kept them to swap with the good folk of Numista. If interested drop me a PM.

Nice one, I've still not come across one of those. Also require the Trinity House £2 coin and the Scottish "thistle" £1 coin - sandwich lady not come up trumps yet
I seriously need to go and assault the grocery store for their change only Still haven't seen a 2014 2 and 5 Pesos coins and there is only 8 days left. Although 2015 coins will surely start appearing here until June, so technically there is still half a year for the 2014 to stumble into town normally.

You don't have to assault anyone, it's also okay if you post those coins in 2015.

Finally found the Canadian 2014 dime and nickel; also found two American 2014 1-cent pieces in my parents' spare change collector. Also found the 2014 quarter within the last couple months. :)
A six year Numista absence makes the heart grow fonder... ?
Just 2 days left and I finally got a (Mexico) 5 Pesos 2014!
Went to the bank decided to get it, so I swapped 1000$ for 5s and finally got one, still need to search the rest, so if there are others in BU like this one they'll be up for swap this night.
Sadly 400 Pesos X 200-$2 coins didn't had the same result, not a single 2014, so that one will take a bit longer to finally complete the 2014 set in my collection.

At the last day of this year, I can all tell you that there have been found 117 coins from 35 different countries with the date of 2014!
Last year, 92 coins from 24 different countries have been found, so we did much better this year than last, hopefully in 2015 we will find even more coins in circulation!
Best wishes and a happy New Year,
Lotus07.
