Hej Torben,

where did you read about that variant? I have never heard about it! So I'm quite interested, as you might understand.

Hej Again,

although I cannot open you image, I think I can see a kind of "triangle" of metal in the first "2" (twenty). Try to blow it up and show it again?

Hej,

I think I understand, here is what I would think:

1. on a 2 you only have one triangle, where the foot (base) goes into the upwards part.
2. I suppose the meaning is, that the triangles on the two "2" are not the same
3. so it might be correct to assume, that one of them would be "filled" or "rounded"
4. that's what I thought I saw in the first (leftmost) of "22" in your first posting
5. do you have another from 1922 to compare it with?

Tomorrow I'll send you an image of mine to compare the two dates.

This is one of the reasons, why I like to document those things, because the "base of triangle", as you have seen doesn't say a thing in itself!

Until tomorrow

The same page, but in French; it says for the same line 'second 2 closed' if that helps.  :)

Non, ca n'aide pas, parceque ce n'est pas precis. Merci en tous cas.

No, that doesn't help, thanks anyway, since the second "2" can be any of them....

It still seems to be what I thought, it might be. I would like to be able to document it as usual, but I'll only look at my coin tomorrow, but if Torben can send me the best images he has, I'll set up the documentation, with proper credentials to him, of course.

I'll give Torben my mail address, so if he wants, we can set it up tomorrow.

Ciao

The second 2 in the date - 1922 - is closed.
The loops goes around the top and comes down to touch the upward part. :)

Also, the same variety is on the 2 Franc coin. This (with pictures) is on the French forum ...

Hi ZacUK,

that's right! So why the text "Base of triangle 2"? Could there be 2 variants in 1922?

No, the second "2" is NOT closed, it's dirt:

and my 1922 is exactly the same, but not dirty

Tomorrow I'll see if I have any doubles to compare against.

Hi again,

I had 4 doubles in easy reach and they also have the "angle" filling, none are with closed "2". I still have 8 in the cellar to control tomorrow....

Hi, in conclusion What is the difference  between both?
Hi, I ask in more than 6 forums for this variety and no body know about it. Could the administrator of this forum explain something about this variety? Please, will be appreciated for every one.
Thanks in advance.
