I realized that I have no idea where most of you are located... and if you want to specify a province/state/city/town/etc you can, but you don't have to. You can also mention if you were born somewhere else vs where you live now.
I am in Canada, in the province of Newfoundland.
I would also love to do a basic stats analysis of us by countries, if people are in favor of this...
A six year Numista absence makes the heart grow fonder... ?
I was born at my parents house (so not a hospital) three miles from here, in
a snowstorm in February 1956. It is the house shown in my third picture on the 'Your Own Picture' topic.
P.S. On the left of that map is Spring Lane (near Stagsden village, two miles from here) where I took my avatar picture one evening, on top of the hill, facing west.

This is good enough to locate you, Neill!
Moi:
1) Temporary for 8 months: One of the 7 Hiltons in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates [postal adress: Imre, Hilton, RAK, UAE]
2) 2nd home: Gümüssuyu, Beyoglu, Istanbul, Turkey
3) real original home: in the vicinity of Budapest, Hungary

It's the brick house with the green tile roof and picket fence. My coin collection is stored in my bedroom which is the last on the right in white ring binders, the really good stuff is in a folder marked "silver collection" But again, I'm not saying any more for security reasons

I confess, I have no idea where I would put you in a statistical analysis. Turkey seems the most reasonable but... ?

Sorry 3 more questions:
1) And the PIN to your alarm is...?
2) When are you ... and nobody ... surely not at home?
3) Any nervous dogs in the neighbourhood?

I'm not an expert in any kind of coins, but I reckon I'm good at research and will do my best to help. Feel free to tell me my identifications/valuations/gradings are wrong. It's the only way I'll learn.
I do not want to be more specific because I do suffer from slight paranoia,
not about my coins because I am sure a lot more people have way cooler things than me, I only have uploaded 1/10th of my collection though, because DAMN is it tedious, especially with duplicates.
Born in a small town on the Pennines many moons ago and just wandered around God's green earth until 9/11 at which point I refused to fly. Being in the US at the time, that's where I've stayed. I'm now married to a red haired, green eyed Irish/Sicilian Southern Belle from Alabama and I've adopted one cat, one puppy and one gorgeous two year old princess.
We originally lived in Akron, Ohio but I hated it because it was so damned cold, full of Yankees who still stop and point when an airplane flies past, industrial decay and women with thick ankles. So we relocated South of the Mason Dixon line and here in the Land of Cotton we will stay, away down South in Dixie.
We will be relocating from Florida to that other fine Confederate States of America paradise, Eastern Tennessee. No rush, we are taking our time finding the perfect property. high elevation, water access and as far away from neighbors, and especially the government, as possible. If I want to sit on my front porch in my underwear, drink 'shine and sing rebel songs then that's what I'm going to do dammit.
Phil, that's a strange flag. Certainly not what I would have assumed you would pick to represent yourself. I thought you might have gone for the 13 colonies.. Since it still has both new flags on it.
I still hope we can get over there to see you sometime soon, the timing has just been all wrong since were now in the process of buying a house lol

We have the Union Jack and the CSA Battle Flag outside our house. We have three flagpoles. The third flies either the Bonnie Blue or the Gadsen. It keeps those ghetto people away. They are currently empty as Hurricane Season is just getting started.
Save your money mate. Move to the US and buy a house here, house prices are a fraction of UK prices and land is even cheaper. I looked up my old home in England and it's current value is outrageous.

Ah, women.
We avoid such arguments by dividing up the decision making process into his 'n' hers. My dear lady wive gets to decide our position on the globally important stuff such as Agenda 21 and the UN Small Arms Treaty and I get to deal with all the mundane stuff like where we live and what vehicles we drive.

Try North Carolina, if you have a few 100k you can get a really nice, big property.
I was born in Venezuela, currently working in India (Just 1 week more), I live in Houston and probably moving to another country in the following months.

Yummy is right!! But, everything in moderation and hence you don't have to worry about getting a heart attack . It is not the food that kills you, per say, but the quantity and frequency!
I was born and raised in the US, New York specifically, but of Indian decent...
yum is right, but not everyday. Lets talk chocolate. Here one i like Get a large canning jar.Put dry apricots in the jar. With about a thumb left to top. About 1/4 the jar size of sugar,or less. Full the jar with a good brandy. Put in cold dark place for 6 weeks or more. Turning the bolte once a week.Pour off your sweeten apricot brandy. take apricot out . Cut in strips .Let dry. and dip in chocolte.
The apricots make really good blintzes and tortes. But apricot cake Take a yellow cake and pour sweet apricot brandy on it after it has cooled and out of pan. Put chop up apricot in buttercream icing.Put together and let seat for and hour. Iam hunger sorry iam going to make me something to eat

A true world citizen: Kiwi of (very) mixed heritage, but sound like a Brit (apparently like I'm from Surrey, or so I've been told by actual Brits!), have a German surname, earned my degree (a while back) in Canada, and currently based in HK, although I'd much rather be in Europe!! Finally have over 100 coins in my newbie collection as well.

You should look at one of the replies I did to the topic which countries you have the most coins... or something like that.
I have lived in more than 7 countries in the last 7 years...
now it's in France enough close to Luxembourg, but 100 years before, it was German Empire...

I live near the Alberta Canada Rocky Mountains, what a beautiful daily view. I am about 4 hrs from the Capital of Edmonton, Alberta. I had lived in Edmonton for about 33 yrs. I love the small town atmosphere, however the shopping here sucks. Thankfully there is internet shopping.
