This one perhaps?
No, it's not that one.
Lettering I can read is  DOM TO*****AUST around the shields
+ weight is a lot less...

SPANISH NETHERLANDS TOURNAI  Liard,  12 Mites  KM# 21  1610-1611

Obverse: Crowned shield of Albert and Elizabeth

Reverse: Crown and shields of Austria, Burgundy, and Brabant

Reverse Legend: …BVRG DOM TOR   (the … means other lettering present)

EDIT: I have seen a different coin which the complete lettering reads something like ...

                             ARCHID · AVST · DVCES · BVRG · DOM · TOR
which is abbreviation for: ARCHIDUCES AUSTRIAE DUCES BURGUNDIAE DOMINUS TORNESIS
French translation: Archiducs d'Autriche, ducs de Bourgogne et seigneurs de Tournai

but it had a different reverse (with a cross, not a crowned shield). It was a 1/4 Patagon coin.  :)

Thank you, ZacUK
The legend seems to match, too bad NGC doesn't provide a picture.
I know an Albert and Elisabeth specialist, I'll ask him for pics, and maybe create Numista page.

I amended the lettering above since your reply, and one result (a 1 Patagon) is already on here - and shows similar to that coin I mentioned with a cross on the other side ...

so is still not yours, but it is closer ...  :)

On my coin I can identify the word "DUCES", not "DUX", so A&E is probably more likely ?

Agreed, so Duces means two rulers - and I copy my amended earlier reply, now with translations ...

                                    ARCHID · AVST · DVCES · BVRG · DOM · TOR
which is abbreviation for:  ARCHIDUCES AUSTRIAE DUCES BURGUNDIAE DOMINUS TORNESIS
French translation:  Archiducs d'Autriche, ducs de Bourgogne et seigneurs de Tournai

It will probably be "DOMINI TORNESIS" as they were 2   :8D  (used to study latin in a previous life)

Thank you, I'll go check my catalog for tournai coins

Agreed also - I did Latin at school.
On the other side of the coin, around the shield, on the right, I can see ERT so may be ...

                                ALBERTVS. ET. ELISABET. D:G.
                          (ALBERTUS ET ELISABETH DEI GRATIA)

which I read somewhere is a legend around some coins.  :)

:wiz:  Found it - this page (in Dutch) has a lot on it, and yours is number 10, 3/4 down the page ...

It is indeed a Liard, and made only in 1610 or 1611 (date divided by shield).

You're good !!!!
I've used that site before, but forgot about it  z|
Didn't know you read Dutch  :8D
I think my search was a bit off because I read BRA(B) instead of GRA...

Another mystery solved.
Hope you're ready for the next one : check my next topic...  :D

Grtz !
