Any guidance would be much appreciated. I identified it years ago as from British Ceylon, but after perusing the Numista guide, it appears I was wrong. Thanks in advance.

Why do you think you were wrong? It looks like Ceylon to me. What does the other side look like?

Additionally, it's 3.4 cm in diameter, so it isn't the 1/4 cent.

Nahh, plenty of people around here are experts on the Chinese cash, it's one of the most commonly asked ID requests. You might try having a trawl through the previous ID requests, you might find your coins.
