After browsing different posts here on Numista, I have learned that quite a few people collect more than just coins. The program I am writing not only will allow you to catalog your coins, but it will create an Excel list that you can use to upload to your coin list here. Also there will be a paper money and stamp catalog and inventory areas. Eventually I will add further categories to those interested. I should have a working copy of the software within a month.

It will be free to any Numista members!!!
Interested to see what you are working on.
No longer in business since 2015. May consider swaps on rare occasions. Mostly use the profile to catalogue my personal collection.

Wow, that sounds interesting! :)

I would be very interested if it works in either linux or mac OSX 10.5.8 (ppc) also looking for an android app like "Collector's Eye" that doesn't suggest New Zealand as a country of origin when the coin is Yugoslavian.
Quote: rdnck645What would yall like to see in this program? I want to make it as easy to use but have all the features that you want.
I would really prefer to wait and play with it to suggest.
BUT, one thing that would be UNIQUE, would be to have the title fields editable. I do realize that the key field can not be, but having the rest would be nice since there are many different languages and grading systems.
? Format Format Format ? ?
Do not argue with ignorant people .. !! They will drag you down to their level, then pulverize you with experience ...

I definitely interested! And hopefully it'll work on both Mac and PC!
(My computer crashed, so now I'm using my go's MacBook, but when I can afford I'll by me a new computer - a PC
I would be very interested in purchasing this software, but it would have to be able to export all the data of Numista, into it, ie the entire database, indicate the degree of rarity in Numista field to put values Krauser, observations, and a few more at least 3 fields editable. If you want to launch a version in Portuguese language'm the disposal, at least to the instruction manual.

Olivetti

I am interested to see what you'll get. I have also a software created by me and now I'm working on an improved version. Maybe we can share some ideas.
Here are two screenshots (with and without descriptions) of the main interface.

Hello friend;
Recently I got some more programs on the internet to register coins, including some editable, do not know if these development programs could help in some function or something, but I'm willing to share with a friend if you want.
Regards;
Olivetti
The main part of the application is already finished but unfortunately I'm very busy at my work and I can work on the software just few hours every day. I'll post tonight a link with a video demonstration to see how it works until now.
I watched the video. The program looks very interesting. If you need a beta tester, I have a dual boot Intel core i5 <quad core> with 12 GiGs DDR3 ram [Linux- Ubuntu & Windows 7] plus I have this old but reliable eMac - ppc.

That ok, but when you sell your software to PCGS I will demand a share of the profit of 12%

You can get some inspirative ideas from these folks, as well: http://www.exactchange.info/
Their software has a disco-age look, but very functional and professional
Give my part really appreciate your commitment and dedication, as before, and if you need anything just ask. If you want to add the language in Portuguese, I am available, images of coins, etc.. Hugs and thank you for your dedication to all!
Thanks Olivetti, I will need some help soon with Portuguese language pack. I will let you know when that moment come. About the images, this software not intend to have a huge database with images of the coins but everyone that use it to be able to use the images of their own coins.
I'm looking for someone to help me to improve a web gallery (that I created, but it doesn't look very good) or to develop another one that looks better than mine. I started to use jQuery just few days ago an seems to pretty easy so I think for someone who already know jQuery for a long time ago shouldn't be a hard task. I know that are many template galleries already created all around the internet but I'm not very good with all those from many reasons.
I would love to beta test this for you. I collect coins and cards of all types,paper money, some comics, stamps. Too much I know. I am new here but I am loving it so far.
