Please only post a coin you could get that will take a maximum of 3 years of saving.
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces28622.html  Latvia 'Coin Of Time' KM# 62
First of a series of three - issued 2004 2007 2010 and I always wondered if 2013 would have another issued (with there being 3 years between). People who have the second (KM# 90) and third (KM# 114) coins want to complete their sets, and are having trouble getting that first coin as it is in demand.
Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins
After the half sov. I'll get a Morgan Dollar, then a Cartwheel Penny, then a US gold coin, then a British hammered coin (preferably Elizabeth I), then a Barber Half, then a Queen Anne British coin.
Should be done in about 5 years.

Got a cartwheel, Barber half and Queen Anne coin already, I'm halfway there  ;)

I'd like anything that enhances my silver collection, maybe some early half crowns and crowns.
What do most Queen Anne's cost?
I don't know.  I got a VG 1711 sixpence for about $10
This one, and hopefully within 1 year.

I don't normally collect this type of thing, but it would be nice. However, I am currently working on Victorian Indian coins, and I don't think these turn up too much, so it probably won't happen any time soon.
Hi folks, first post at Numista. And I thought this a good topic, apt to me as a new collector facing vast unknowns.
I have become fascinated with older copper issues.
So I think a type collection would be a great way to start, with to my mind, the centerpiece being a XF "Cartwheel".
I hope I've chosen a modest goal, resisting the urge to hoard mindlessly.
Still have lots of reading to do, seem to be quite a few pitfalls out there in the weeds.
Brian
welcome aboard Brian :O
A cartwheel, good choice. Warning: they're larger than a US half dollar.
Hi Brian,
Welcome to the site. Hoarding is fun too! I don't think it is ever mindless!  ;)
Bam, you don't have a goal for your collection? Other than getting everything, of course.
Inferred from your post.
I currently haven't restricted myself yet! I do have a goal; which will become clear within 3 months. I have a big event coming up in my life and I'm not going to have that much time for collecting so: I have gathered what I can and will soon be asking the community for help!
I have collection foci rather than goals. Eventually, I will achieve my goals through my focused efforts.
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces13121.html before the Hammered. After that, I'll do a Barber Half, then Queen Anne, then Shield Nickel, then Hammered.
Cartwheel TWO pence, not penny.
Also, not necessarily Elizabeth I.
I've got a 1797 cartwheel penny for 3 EUR, unfortunately polished with copperpolish, but I'm still happy with it though. The rest of Zulu's list don't really bother me, too expensive and with the amount of money I can buy those coins for I can do a lot more great things!

3 Euro!??! WOW.

To quote myself, I was searching all last year for information if there would be a 2013 coin released to continue the three-year series; only now, over halfway through 2014 have I seen this ...

so hopefully the next will be in 2016 - not that I have any of them, but they are rather nice.  :)

Or

The cheapest years have a catalogue value of about €600. So I'd have to save up €50 each month for a year. Definitely possible
I could get this in 2 years of saving or I can wait till next year when I finish 9th grade and i could get it from my parents http://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/world/russia-3-roubles-c-177-1828-common-date-cuid-61749-duid-168770

Nice , but I don't collect anything over a farthing in GB coins.
Cheers Don
I would like to get a Scottish coin in decent condition seeing as my grandma was from Scotland and was the one who gave me my 1st coins and started me collecting. Something with a lion and a thistle would be awesome like a hammer head or a merk I think.
