Hi all, just out of interest are you saving up for any particular that is out your price range and you're willing to commit yourself and save for.
I'm currently saving up for one of these beauties. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces23740.html
I'm saving up for the 1935 florin from Australia. I think catalogue value is over $200 but you can sometimes get them for around $140-$150.
By the way, I don't want to make you jealous John but I got 1849 godless from a bulk bag. I paid $30 for the entire bag, picked out the florin and 7 other silver coins and split up and sold off the remainder for $32. So I basically got a godless florin, 7 other silver coins and $2 spending money for free!!
I'm not really saving up for anything right now. I suppose if I were to set a goal it would be a 1983 10 Yuan China Silver Panda. They're worth around $3200. I'm thinking it would be a very long time before I would drop that kind of money on a single coin though.

And zulu - American gold isn't all it's quicked up to be.

From where you buy such lots? I want to visit there. Not to buy some for me. But, to tell the seller that, he can ask for higher price from you............

Luck of the draw. Sometimes if you get a couple of them listed at the same time everyone bids on the first one and the second one goes cheaper. You've just got to keep your eyes open and don't doze off while hunting.
David I am old - I have a 30/30 and old one, but I have carried it on horses and it has been all over the western US
I got it when I was 12 for 75 dollars and 2 days work. Came with cleaning kit, 2 boxes of bullets, and a side bag for a horse.
That looks a lot like the one I have Daryl. Got it from my dad when he passed. Still trying to convince the gf to let me keep it at the house (still at my mom's place!)

I'd like to be able to get the full collection of circulating coins of the II Republic of Poland (i.e. Poland in between I and II WW). The demand for these coins extremely rose in the past few years and with it their prices got sky-high (well, at least for me). Especially expensive is the Constitution 5 złotych
