Anyone buy coins you didn't need simply because it was a good deal

My silver collection I just have one of each KM number.  But I seem to be unable to pass up a bargain and I'll buy coins I already have a copy of, if it's a good price.  I'm doing it a lot with Australian coins at the moment.  I'm picking up a whole bunch of threepence and sixpence coins for 50c-$1 each and shillings for $2 each.
The same with me - I am buying almost every coin for silver scrap value , I think, I have around 100 silver florins and some of years are about 20 duplicates ha ha. I am not counting 3 and 6 pences anymore.

If the coin I buy is better than the one I own I switch it out, but then I have an extra coin. My wife tells me I can't eat coins, yet extra silver is always nice to have on hand. So to answer the question yes I always buy coins I don't need and I am always looking for more.

If I ever came across some for a good price, I absolutely would buy them.  I just never seem to find those deals.

I buy coins that are outside of my collection if I know I can swap them.
I always wanted to be someone, now I realise I should have been more specific.
Yes, hence why I now have x3 George rules north wales harp halfpennies !
Okay, so what are the odds.  Went into my coin shop and looked around a bit more than usual.  He had a tray with silver Canadian dimes for $1.25 USD.  Silver spot right now puts them at just under $1.50 USD.  Grabbed what I could and now I have (6) 1951s and (3) 1952s!

Ha! I'll swap you for some of my Australian 4x1944 threepences and 3 x 1942 threepences

I picked up something I did need yesterday but I got it for an awesome price

All for less than NZ$40, which equates to US$31 or 20 british pounds or 23 Euro  I think the catalogue value was something like US$140 I got them for less than melt value which is about NZ$40.50
They are very nice coins.

I like picking up everything. A couple of months ago I picked up a large bag of coins from a dealer: he had looked through it keeping a lot of the good stuff. Sold the bag to me for £6. Had many coins I needed and many duplicates. Also included a scarce 1960 50 Lire which is making my date run look good!
Sold the duplicates that I didn't need for £3 and that was only a handful of the coins that I'd looked through.
Because I collect everything I buy all sorts of coins: lately I have been focussing on my Swiss collection and was proud to have only bought Swiss coins at the weekend fair in London!

I just got this not because I needed it but because I wanted it.

I do sometimes. Yesterday I bought a 1931 UK 3 pence in XF for its face value.
What is its face value?

3 pence? Just a guess.
Yes, but we don't have three pence in the UK...2p + 1p maybe...hence my question. It was more tongue and cheek anyway but there we are.

I paid 3 penny coins for the 1931 three pence coin.  Therefore, I paid threepence for the treepence.

A TREEPENCE? Is it rare? WHAT'S A TREEPENCE?
Make sure dogs don't bark up it... it'd be the wrong tree...
COIN COMEDY.
Also bought a cayenne colonie 2 sous 1789A today in a pleasing grade that doesn't fit into my collection but I like it !

I just bought five 1944 Indian Rupees for £2  each at an estate sale in VF and XF. I think that was a decent deal!
Just got my Vatican coins.  They're in beautiful UNC condition but unfortunately they were in those awful cardboard and felt holders with the plastic slipcase so the coins are all tarnished round the edge where they were touching the cardboard.  I've transferred them into flips.
