id challenge

I found a coin/token in a junk box that is a mystery. Let's see if y'all are as good as I think you are, and help me id it with just my description.

Either copper or bronze.
The size of a US quarter.
Obv: bust of a stately man facing right (very similar in appearance to Jefferson on the nickel, facing right)
Lettering:  vict. Amed. D. G. Rex. Sard.

Rev: standing figure holding spear
Lettering: s. Maurit....   worn area from 10 o'clock around to 5 o'clock ....  a line at bottom with: sol... below
There appears to be a date below the obv bust but it is mostly off the planchet.
Possibly 1704 or 1794
