I don't understand the difference? Can anyone shed any light please out of interest!

Thanks

On UK coins dated 1926 the Royal Mint made a Modified Effigy

There are explanations in that topic (with pennies) - difference is easier to see in lettering positions.  :)

EDIT: On shillings it looks easier than that - those two Numista pages show obverse images with tiny teeth around the border on the older coin, whereas 1926-1927 date has larger border teeth. Makes sense actually, as only the obverse side is modified, so the reverse is the same on both versions.
Here are mine (1925 and 1927 but principle still applies) ...

Older coin is on top on both pictures, and teeth are different on my 1926 and 1926ME shillings as well.

Thank you! It turns out I had my 1926 one on my list wrong, it's 1926 ME...

Mark - I hope you still need it as I bought one today for you ...

It is the correct version as it has the larger teeth on the obverse border. Let me know if you want it.  B)

Excellent thanks Zac !

I am not messing you round with this swap I just have work coming out of my ears at the moment and the only time I get to come on here is when I have 5 mins on my phone. I'm hoping to get a few minutes to sort out our swap tomorrow as nothing is planned. Yet...

How much do I owe you for it ?
We can work it out when the swap is sorted - I forget who has chosen what. I will keep it aside for you.  :)
