And explain why you like it, you can say because of its metal content but let's face it that is a bit boring "/

I have to say my favourite is probably the GV 1/4 rupee from Mauritius because I love the fleurs and rose etc.. A very close 2nd would be the sous for Guyana that was in MPCC and then probably the Victoria rupee.
I will upload pics of the 2 I have and link the French one later..

Those are my three. Just a coincidence that they are from India - I could also have sent in coins from Nova Scotia or New Brunswick or Australia or New Zealand - if any of those are 'colonial'.   :)

Got one! I picked it up in a kilo bag from my coin guy a year of so ago.  I got the 1936 date.  I'll try and post some of mine later this week.  Wait, does it have to be ones we own?
Colonial is coins issued by any colonial entity. French is allowed like any other, I even listed a French coin as one of my own favourites !
So are we allowed some of the less conventional "colonial" stuff, such as:

Ahh no.. They are cool for the fact they mention Essequibo and Demerary and have an O.K. design but they aren't that cool to look at !

I can't really make a choice of 3 because it's changed again. I love a lot of colonial coins the same; the Italian stuff is also great, I love the Ionian islands stuff too.. Oh man !

Prince Edward Island cents are amazballs ! I wish they made a king Edward one though !
I think of "Colonial" as 1700-1865.

Colonial does span all the way to the 60's I guess !
My 3 favourite Colonial Coins -- I like these coins because of the designs and, of course, that they feature the Monarchs of my country.

East African Shilling (especially Kings Edward VII and George V).

Indian Rupee (I find the 1946-47 reverse to be especially interesting, but I do not like the Edward VII issues)

British Honduras/Belize 50 cents
I like the Edward rupee because it's different, although I can see why people wouldn't like it so much - it is very plain ! I also love the lion on the 46/47 issues !

How about this one?

I like all of the rupees although I would say GV issues are a bit boring they used the wrong portrait ! Should have been the ones used for Canada NZ and Mauritius !
