How cool would it be to take some to a coin show and ask if ayone wants to look at mysore butt.

 The first one is chola coin (stater) and the 2nd Mysore. just a word of caution. the 2nd one Mysore has a lot of duplicates or fakes. So one should be very careful in buying this 2nd piece. Though a very rare coin, it is sometimes available at very cheap rates and most of them happen to be fakes.

  There is one seller on eBay India, who keeps on selling such pieces and eBay allows him to carry on the game. After some complaints were made by irritated buyers, now he carries a disclaimer statement.

Thank you pjthayil for the information. I feel good about the Mysore coin, I have had it for 20-30 years. Not sure if it's part of the coins my grandfather gave me or not. I have some more I will be working on next month and some Roman coins. I still have a lot of odd coins to work out.
