To have one specimen of every thaler (and their multiplicities) ever issued. But then again, I'd need a really huge house Anyway, dreaming does you no harm.
BTW, what's the original poster's numismatic dream?
My dream is to collect maximum number of beautiful looking coins.
And, in feature, I want to become 'the Indian having maximum number of world coin in his collection'.
At this moment my age is 20+. And I think if I can do it properly with passion. I can reach to the target.
I like the idea of having an example of every type and variety (within reason) of British/English Penny from modern times stretching right back to the Saxon Kingdoms. It would be awesome as the collection would span a long section of history and would include many different metals/alloys.
My dream is to connect with honest and sincere people and help build up my 'World of Numismatics'. I'd like to have coins & banknotes from every part of the World!
I have started to build a set of the old commemorative half dollars from the US...starting with the Columbian dollar and ending with the Washington/carver. I once saw a whole set together and I damn near peed myself. It'll take time and money but I've got the time...so I guess I'm halfway there!
... but then I realise that when you enter double coins or more than a coin, or a different number in each conservation state, bah!
Have as much as possible unexpensive coins (by mint and year).
See how much time do I need to reach the 20,000 coins mark - this last 1,000 were already on swaps! :-)
To get a coin of each type of the last century (1900-2000), but only for the circulating coins.
If some one want to arrange some swap I am ready

An example of every date and type of Halfcrown ever issued, from the 1544 Gold Halfcrown of Henry VIII through to the last rare variety of 1839 and everything before and after that (All dates 1906 onwards I have).
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Hello everyone, I do the coin collection with my father, we really enjoy each new coin and each new swap we make. My dream is to continue enjoying this hobbie shared with my father for as long as possible, and by the way make the collection bigger and bigger. We are especially excited to get new types, new issuers or countries and complete KM's with all their dates. Greetings to all from Barcelona

One of every Italian coin made from 1861 to 2001. Ultimately, though I know it will never happen, I dream of getting every single British coin from 1158 to the present.
Dream collection for me would be
All Japanese modern coins from meiji including the gold coins.
All malaya straits settlement coins to present.
Some error coins and some trail or pattern coins.
Make a collection book out of it and sell.
Be kind to people. Sharing is Caring. Collect what you like and not by the Crowd.
To seek for perfection, it is too painful and there is a very high price to pay. To seek for something comfortable is more easy. To seek for nothing is even more easy.
My dream is to sell off (or trade) my extra banknotes & to continue to acquire desired uncommon banknotes which can eventually supplement my retirement income.
I would love to have the Worlds Largest Collection of Unique John F. Kennedy Coins, according the Guinness Book of World Records. Then I could like to donate the entire collection to the American Numismatics Association Museum in Colorado Springs, CO.
For me, just to get all the coins and notes I'm interested in. But by the time I've done that, I will have no doubt found more coins and notes to add to my collection. The cycle never ends!
Also, similar to what ngdawa mentioned, it would be nice to have all my coins and notes in VF condition or better.
"Be kind, rewind."

Collect enough coins of diferent type of circulating coins from 1900 to date, and create a Modern Coinstory Museum, and over time, make it a chain of museums around the world, where in addition to teaching new generations, they serve as collection and exchange hubs
The ultimate coin that I would like to have, of course without disregarding many others as rare, beautiful and valuable as this one, is the first gold coin minted in my country Portugal. Its name is Morabitino and I leave here the link of the coin in Numista: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces97472.html
However this coin, here in the catalogue and in general, is said to be the first portuguese gold coin I think it is important to say that there is a possibility that the first Morabitino was minted during Afonso Henriques (1) reign. ( Alberto Gomes catalog)
Hope to have numismatic album for every corresponding tittle of history book ever authored for that era/region. An impossible task, I know. But there's no harm in dreaming as long as I don't wake up, or stop believing in it.
I'm into typesets, and not as mints, years, die variations and such parameters. I collect as numismatic albums but do binge a lot when find stuff to be affordable.
