UK half penny N#19752 and 1 penny N#137951, N#19751, N#373242, N#373241 need review also.  These aren't play money either.

To clarify  -  for numismatic purposes, a coin “model” is not the same as a toy model.

I probably don't want to know how many OTHER U.K. models are miscategorized………

What do you suggest?

Aren't these all in the Rodger's Toy Coins Catalog?

Not familiar with that reference.  If someone authored a reference (when ?) referring to these as “toys” that would simply be inaccurate. They are clearly patterns and should be classified today as such.  TC

I don't disagree. Have you created a change request to do that?

OK

They are clearly patterns and should be classified today as such.

On what is this statement based on?

These are typically made to resemble actual circulating coins - size, denomination, composition, etc.  And with the addition - in many cases - of the word “model”, that implies an item is created as a prototype - or trial piece.

Do N#19751 and N#137951 look like items created for children to play with ?  I believe much preliminary work went in to creating these.

Much more than necessary for play money.

As I mentioned previously, model does not mean toy.  TC

Refer to N#41074.  These are “play money”  (German = "spiel marke")  TC

So nothing then. I found not a single source that indicates this object as an official pattern. If it is not a toy then it is either a fantasy or a medal.

If pattern is not acceptable, "model" would be most accurate. But that would require creating a new category. Perhaps not a bad idea since there are quite a few of these  in several denominations.  TC

See N#373242 for example
