As with Gold in personal Numista collections which currently shows ounces and tenths of an ounce, I think it may be time Numista also considers doing so for Silver in ones collection.  44.70 oz instead of simply 44oz until one collects enough to attain 45 oz. Thoughts?

That already should be the case. It all depends on the amount.
0 - 9 → X.YZ

10 - 99 → XY.Z
100 - … → XYZ

Never once have I seen my silver collection been expressed in fractions of an ounce regardless of quantity, only full ounces. Gold on the other hand does show full ounces and fractions of an ounce as in the following example:

Actual silver weight 320 oz (never 320.6 oz ).

Actual gold weight 10.23 oz

Gold and silver weights are treated the same. I added one silver and one gold coin to a test collection. I then increases each by a factor of ten several times. Here are the results:

As you can see both silver and gold weights are always reported to three significant figures.

So the suggestion should be to report to 2 decimal places for both regardless of the weight.

Makes sense. Perhaps this is exactly the way to do it, simply move the decimals for those of us who possess larger quantities. Essentially suggesting this  but you described how to accomplish it in a way that conveys the end hoped for results better. Thank you.
