I've been going through a lot of Lincoln cents. I found one curiously deformed, and sent it to the cull pot, for the liquor store owner. (One does enjoy a G&T after a long days work, and the proprietor loves finding wheaties).
Then, I found another with a similar distortion. So I dug out the first to compare. What I found was the obverse center is raised up more than usual from the background. On the reverse, it's more or less opposite. There also appear to be collar issues.
So my question is should they remain in the pot? Sorting pennies is dry work, and I'm getting low on gin.
