Hello all, I have has this coin in my possession since I was 15 and noticed it has both an off center error although slight and what appears to be a diecrack error? Im curious if it is what I think it is and not post-mint damage, what would it value and worth be?

Not a die crack, but a planchet defect.

A die crack is when the die itself cracks, leaving raised lines on the coin.

Here’s an example from my collection with tons of die cracks;

I don’t think I have to point them out :).

In your case the entire coin is cracked, my guess is that this happened during the striking process.

Value is a very tough subject in error coins, the answer is usually just ”whatever someone will pay for it” and as I’m not an expert on error coins I can’t give you a proper evaluation on this one. Maybe 30-60 euros though? (complete guess)

Thanks for the example! I can definitely see rhe difference and you are right, I never even considered a planchet defect!

I would assume 30-60 euros is right as I was once offer 50 British Pounds in 2023 for a double die 10 pence error from 2014. I am also not an expert on errors however i am studying 😃
