Hungarian remade 1930s pengő or brand new?

Hi!

I couldn’t find this one in the catalog. It’s approximately 28 gram, 39 mm, smooth edge.

The portrait of Miklós Horthy resembles 1930s 5 pengő coins. The text on the side with the coat of arms seems to commemorate the reburial of the Hungarian regent in 1993.

Welcome to Numista!

It's not in the Numista catalog but you can add it.

A coin, a banknote or a piece of exonumia is missing in the Numista catalogue: what can I do?

The reverse looks to be the same as this WW II Hungarian Bravery Medal https://www.emedals.com/products/a-second-war-hungarian-gold-bravery-medal-eu6187

Thank you rsirian1!

I have tried to add it to the Numista catalog - the approval is pending.

I have found a visual match at an Hungarian auction site: https://monetarium.hu/hu/kezdolap/1918-horthy-miklos-es-neje-temetese-emlekerem-sorozat.html

Updated: Now in the Numista catalog, N#577728

Struck by Hungarian mint.

Here is an example of a different medal from this series with CoA:

For this one the mintage is 2000, so the one you have likely also has the same mintage
