Identify bronze roman coin

Hey, please help me identify this:

Weight: 5,28g

Diameter: 15mm

Metal: possibly bronze

In the first photo I can see a head looking right, and in the second photo it looks like a central stranding person surrounded by lettering or dots.

Thank you!

Hi - based on the pictures and the size and weight, I think it’s most likely to be a Byzantine decanummium (10 nummi coin), where the central device on the reverse is a capital I (for 10) and on the left reads ANNO (top to bottom) and to the right would feature the regnal year of the ruler who issued it. Cheers!

Wow, that might really be it! Thank you so much, I will do further research

My pleasure! The other possibility for a decanummi reverse is an X (also for 10) but the picture didn’t look like one. It f you can make out the letters in exergue (below the I), they indicate the mint (e.g., CON = Constantinople, ANT = Antioch, etc.). Good luck!

I will try to clean the coin a bit, now it's soaking for some days to loosen the dirt.

My guess is Constantinople, I tried to clean the exergue but it's either very worn either the lettering is out of strike, I could see no letters, but based on the portrait and missing officina, and overall design I'm almost sure is correct. No regnal year can be identified also, I just see an “X” and i guess is the second one being so low placed so is 20+ regnal year.
