Hello everyone:

I am from Brazil and I have a coin that, at first glance, appears to be of Spanish origin. It is in a rather poor state of preservation, with heavy corrosion.

Nevertheless, on the obverse field one can make out what seems to be a large letter “P” in the center.

Could anyone offer a hypothesis regarding its possible identification (mint, denomination, or period)?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

What is on the other side?

What is the diameter?

Also where is the P letter?

One of these or somewhere else?

Also, is any of that lettering around the outside visible?

It measures about 22 mm. Unfortunately, the other side (the reverse) is worn away, but I am sending two photos. Could it be a lion?

I seem to notice something like the letter “P” on the obverse, which I sent photos of earlier, but it is also quite corroded. A mystery!

So - those two new pictures - they are the reverse?

Looks like a squirrel on a branch -

and maybe large A R underneath.

As mentioned earlier - any lettering visible?

Those three pictures I did with the P letter - any of them

like what you see, or can you draw on a picture yourself?

The 22mm might help - thanks.

Seeing all sorts of things anyway -

could be part of a right-facing portrait,

could be an evil-looking cat below …

Could be a large crown at the top, with a small circle below it - and so on …

Same with the new pictures - could be say Britannia

seated with trident going to top left

or there is a tiny monkey climbing up …

Ah, yes, I see now - a lion wearing a crown,

walking left holding a sword. Thanks

Still a mistery... Spain, Philip IV, maravedís resselados?  Are we close?

 Shame more lettering not visible.

If that is a crown, is that a small circle below it?

Maybe not a P but a larger portrait facing right - maybe.
