Chile 100 pesos coin 1986

In my collection I have a 1986 coin with a curved upward pointing and almost closed tail on the nine digit.

That seems to be the case for all 1986 coins.

Yes. Coins on Ebay have a pointed tail for 1987. Sorted then. Good.
