Constantine I double victory; Scicia [solved]

8 posts • viewed 88 times

Hello,  I have found these two and been wandering if coins or not. New to the hobby. Tried the first 20 pages of the catalog but nothing. Thanks in advance.

This is the second face of the coin possibly .
The first one with the hole is 18mm and the other one is 16mm. Thanks

 Is there a fourth picture missing - the reverse of the un-holed coin?

First coin - CONSTANS one side and VICTORIAE [two Victories] the other -

Constantine I. A.D. 307/10-337. AE 3 (17 mm, 3,0 g). Ticinum mint, struck A.D. 318-319.

IMP CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG, laureate, helmeted and cuirassed bust right /

VICTORIAE LAETAE PRINC PERP, two Victories holding shield inscribed VOT PR on altar;

ST in exergue. RIC 82.

 May not be exactly that, but the helmet is similar.

Thank you for the thorough information.

With this style the Constantine's coin is from Siscia :
