Pictures are good.

I couldn't find anything in the Numista catalog. Maybe another member will know.

I did find a couple of similar coins/medals/tokens.

Pretty much the same story with the Ebay one I found.  Interesting price difference between the two though.

Hi, and firstly many thanks (I really do appreciate it). For the last year I've mainly be dealing with English coins, so just getting round to looking at these Asian coins. I do love the design etc, but just wise I had better knowledge to be honest. I am trying to learn though so any help greatly appreciated.

I do have a number of these coins, and a lot seem to be token coins. One of them is of the erotic variety, and from my basic research I understand it was given to newlyweds as a sort of instruction manual (Not for the prudish). I Just wise there was a course where I could learn the basics…..oh well here's hoping.

Again, many thanks….

This might be a good place to start.  China – Numista

That eighth different character changes the Emporer to Tongzhi (Tongzhi Tongbao Tianxia Taiping).

This specific one is in Hartill under their “Amulets and Presentation Pieces” section. Has a bit of an explaination too:

brilliant, and thank you so much….i really, really, appreciate it. As I collect I learn, and this is a reason I do this……and any help means the world to me. I love these coins, and finding them is pure pleasure (then comes the research); which is both heaven and hell! Honestly, I have my work cut out as I've a lot of different amulets etc….(but one has to start somewhere….lol) Many Thanks once again…..

Hello

The tong have two dots so not the same as Hartill

But as said “other are privately made”

The calligraphy of none of the characters on the front is the same, why would you want it to be an genuine coin?
