Help identifying 2 small coins [solved]

3 posts • viewed 78 times

Hi,

I'm trying to identify these 2 small ancient coins.

  • Material: unknown, dark color with green patina patches
  • Weight: unknown
  • Dimensions: unknown

Found in North Africa in 1908 while plowing a field.

Any help appreciated!

The first one is a 4th century roman coin. The obverse is pretty much gone, so I don't know which emperor, but the reverse is the SEVURITAS REIPVBLICAE type, which was used by multiple emperors in the 360s-370s: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php?e=rome&r=SECVRITAS+REIPVBLICAE&st=1-2&cat=y&im1=&im2=&ru=&ie=&ca=3&no=&v=&cu=&a=&dg=&i=&b=&m=np&f=&t=&t2=&w=&mt=&u=&g=&c=&wi=&sw=

Thank you so much, really appreciated!
