Possibly ancient Indian coin? [solved]

5 posts • viewed 67 times

I've come into possession of this (what I believe to be) Indian coin. I'm very inexperienced with these sorts of coins and it's my first that I own, so I have no clue where to start or what to really reference.

If anyone with more in depth knowledge could help, that would be amazing!

Buongiorno, dovrebbe essere questo fals mamelucco del sultano Barquq, zecca di Trablus in Siria

Wow, that’s impressive that you know this! How can you tell it’s a counterfeit?

Fals is the name of the denomination, it doesn't mean it's fake.

Oops, I think the ‘translate’ Italian to English option messed up and said it was fake lol. Thanks for clarifying
