Need some help on ID'ing two Ilkhanate and 1 Abbasid coin [solved]

3 posts • viewed 75 times

Hello, I've run into some significant challenges actually nailing down the exact type for these two Ilkhanate coins- one of them looks extremely similar to an Uljaytu Type B, and the other has no direct match with the specific calligraphy, as far as I can tell. They are both about 25-27cm.

I've also found a clearly Abbasid dirham, but I also can't determine the actual specific ruler or mint since I can't read Arabic (yet, I hope).

Thank you so much for taking a look, and I'd truly appreciate any help on any of them!

Dear PVVan,

I believe you are correct about the first being an Uljaytu type B. As for the second Ilkhan issue, I think it to be a Type D issue from Abu Said.

I am unable to read Arabic and wish you the best on the Abbasid Dirham. I’m sure someone in here can help.

Amazing, thank you so much for the help! It really lines up with everything!
