The series "Alley of Classics from "Stefan cel Mare" Public Garden” of Chisinau municipality was launched in 2010 with the coin dedicated to the poet "Grigore Vieru”. The series will be completed with coins dedicated to writers of Romanian literature, the busts of which are placed on the Alley of Classics. This sculptural complex was inaugurated in 1958 and consisted of 12 busts, focusing on the central radius of the park. After 1989, the Alley of Classics was completed with other works, which now takes place in the form of arrow on both sides of the axis. At the moment, there are located 28 sculptures (including that of Alexander Pushkin, lying at the head of the alley).
