Identification of 8 Silver Hammered coins.

5 posts • viewed 72 times

Hello,

I was looking for help on identifying these coins that I have acquired from a metal detectorist. As you can imagine having been in the ground they aren't of the best grade and I understand that some may be unidentifiable.

I do have an idea of what some of them are, however I would like someone with a more trained eye and expertise to confirm. I am not really interested in how much they worth to be honest. Just knowing what the coins are is fine. They all weight between 0.5g and 0.9g with the one half clipped weighing 0.9g so if it was a full coin maybe weight 1.7-1.9g?

Please also forgive the poor quality photos. The lighting in my north facing Scottish home in winter is not the best so I have had to use a flash.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks for noticing Zac. I will upload tomorrow, the coins are in my office at work. It’s my first post on the forums here. I was bound to muck it up lol.

Thanks - this is similar to coin 1

Some of these are similar to coin 3

Also … in decent weather pictures outside in natural light, and closer,

are much preferred - as well as individual diameters.
