Unidentified ancient coin.

I’m not well-versed in ancient Greek coins, but it’s perhaps one of the bronze issues of Philip II of Macedonia, or a near-contemporary imitation. The ΠΟΥ part of ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ is clear enough.

Could you provide the diameter and weight of the coin? Those would be helpful for identification by others with greater knowledge.

Hello

This currency, judging by its appearance, is clearly a modern counterfeit.

These counterfeits are very common in North Africa, targeting unsuspecting tourists.

It has no value.

I bought this coin in Sremska Mitrovica, whose Roman name was Sirmium. I was told that it is a Roman coin, so I’m not sure where the North African attribution came from. I’ll provide the weight and diameter as soon as I have access to a scale.

Hello

Regarding the origin of this coin, I'm referring to counterfeits. They are mass-produced, mainly in North Africa (Tunisia, etc.).
Your coin looks suspicious and closely resembles these counterfeit versions.

Please take clear photos of both sides and the edge so we can examine it more closely.
