Only John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died on July 4, 1826.
James Monroe dies on July 4, 1831.
Isn't coincedential they died on that day? Same with Monroe on the 55th anniversary.
Possibly as its before telegraphs that they may have died earlier, but no one decided to report their deaths until July 4th?
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Ha! Maybe! But I'm not sure July 4th was as big a day then as it is now. Most signed on August 2, 1776 and the last to sign did it in 1777. I think the July 4th date became more important much later on.
The design for the Trump $250 banknote has been finalized.
🤣😂Too funny, especially after he goes on about “Sleepy Joe”. I really think they should put a modified portrait of George Washington, the Liberty Bell or another Independence hero like Paul Revere on it.

Those are all good ideas. Did you contact your Senators and Representatives to voice your opinion? Sure, Numista is great, but I doubt anyone in Congress will ever see your message here. So dont be shy, make a call or send a letter!

I had a little bit of fun on Gemini image creator. First time I've ever used it.
Wouldn't let me use a certain sitting president…
But I did create this
Afterwards, it seemed to get confused. I asked it to reduce scale of flag, centralise it behind the seal, and to remove that text in lower left.
And it created a whole new image 🤷♂️
Hey that's not bad!
Now can you draft one for the UK? Maybe a 250-pound note to celebrate the US declaring its independence from the UK? And the obverse could include a collage of the 6 PMs you've had in the last 10 years? Soon to be 7 PMs? I mean Starmer's hanging on by a thread, and I've read several articles that the UK is “ungovernable”. (Not my word, search google.)

Did you specifically prompt for the US flag to be upside down, or did the algo did it on its own?
the Sleepy DJT mock up was quite good. I would acquire a trump note if one ever really came out, definitely will get one with his signature on it - it’s a nice historic record of the time We live in. But a sleepy trump, I’d pay a premium for that lol
Ha, it was a little bit of fun. I think my prompt was to show the US in a state of despair? I did ask it to include a battleworn flag, but it put it upside down itself. It added the cracks onto the Statue itself too but I asked it to be included.
I'm certainly not above mocking my own UK either though. 🤣
As I can't use living persons it appears, I used the next best thing…
I did ask it to show No 10 but with the door replaced with a revolving door. But seems to have ignored that prompt 🤷♂️
I did try to edit, but it started falling over itself. Suppose its a rather busy design. 🤷♂️
Here's one showing the brutality of the British Empire. Not entirely sure why they're all Indian judging by dress as I asked for representatives of different “conquered” nations. 🤷♂️
Is the UK perfect? Of course not. No nation is.
And I'm just having a bit of fun picking on one of our oldest allies - even if things are strained today - and I'm happy to poke fun at both sides. Feel free to make some mocking the UK yourself, I really don't mind. 😁
And here's a one sharing our little spat, but with a reconcilatory message on it 😀
Here's the original after the initial prompt
And after a couple of edits, I got this
And for a laugh, I thought wouldn't it be funny if Canada annexed the US inverting the threat the US keeps making (and have fought a few wars attempting to do…).
The signatories are my own little bit of stupidity. 🙃
And also made just a few stupid ones for “history”. Spot the ninja in the Japanese themed one.
It's rather a lot of fun goofing around 🤪
Might make a little thread where we can all post stupid designs of coins and banknotes. Seems to be derailing this thread a little. Sorry! 🤣
P.s. I know the White House in the Britannia vs Uncle Sam is a bit of an anachronism. But I wanted something to balance out the Houses of Parliament on the left.
Wasn't sure what building would be both historically correct and instantly recognisable.
I thought maybe Carpenter's Hall or Independence Hall, both in Philadelphia. But wasn't sure they'd be as iconic (to outside the US anyway).

Would not the Capitol be the equivalent of westminster ?
That probably would have been a better shout. Although it'd still be an anachronism, at least its perhaps the two legislative houses rather than the executive power.
Oh dear… that's not good to know. Now I might just want to create more with real folk rather than allegories. 🤣🤣🤣
But that's a wonderful creation of your own. Love it, if a little unnerving 😅
