Hello all!

I wanted to see if anyone has purchased a precious metal analyzer from Ali Express test the composition of their coins.  I was thinking about buying one, but on the fence about the quality. I would so appreciate to hear about your experience and product you bought. For instance, anyone bought this analyzer from Ali Express?

I Don’t own one but If it’s from Ali express I personally wouldn’t trust it

Sigma Metalytics is probably the largest and best known manufacturer of this type of instrument.  Unless Ali is selling fakes you have nothing to worry about. What's their price?

Thats true but Ali express is known for cheap stuff so I’m just saying be cautious

Its selling for $740. I wanted to see if anyone actually bought off from Ali Express.

Is that with or without tariffs?

That's a very good price.  Retail from dealer is $1000. Here's some other prices:

But what has Sigma Metalytics to do with Aliexpress aren't they manufacturing in California (probably with Chinese components though)? I can also buy a Ninja air fryer with the same pictures used as on the Ninja sales platform for around 10 bucks (don't want to know what would appear in the post).

They don't seem to be “authentic” as AliExpress' 😉

The first and last experience I had with AliExpress was when I received crapola that did not work as intended (4G USB-stick modem). It wasn't a Sigma Metalytics though.

There is an additional cost for tarriffs.  I bought from Ali before and it was a pain to return.

In terms of quality it is reliable but not as useful as an XRF gun, if you can find one who can lend it to you.

If it is any help, I bought two banknote checking devices from AliExpress and they were both perfect.

One was a combined UV/IR/backlight device and the other was an IR camera (based off a stripped down Android device).

They were shipped to me in London, even the packaging was very good.

Useful device as most people can not afford an XRF gun.
