Hello everyone,
it's pretty obvious that coin collecting is something we all share.

Recently I was contacted by ALLRED1950 who offered me a free coin. Together we thought of ways that It would be awesome if we could all send to other a FREE coin just for the hell of it. So here the plan is to post one coin that you are willing to give away. Then we end out helping people from the community.

I'll start: I am giving away this coin, I have 2 available to give away so it's a first come first serve basis.

That's great - this is just a way to get people to look at the forum and may make someone's day. It is good to get something free out of the blue. Makes you think there's still hope in the world.

That is something to think about. You going to just make up your mind if it good for you. If you regularly mail but I know it is money coming out of your pocket.

Great idea guys, in the US to US postage is cheap on one coin. I would like to know how to get kids into collecting?
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!

I know shipping is expensive but I have to say, there's nothing better than someone offering you a coin at random. It's awesome. So in a way if people will just give some presents like this, the coin you paid to have shipped will then be rewarded by a new coin from another awesome collector.

In terms of getting new members to love coin collecting we have to show that it is a "cool" thing to do. Channels like Comedy central (USA and world-wide), Fox (USA and world-wide) and Global HD (Canada) are perfect for this. It's very simple, you just get in contact with producers of different shows and ask them to (via a kind letter) to show it on TV. It won't always work but hey if we get it on one episode in a show it's already an accomplishment.

I am totally up for this! I have a 1919 Canadian 1 cent I will give to the 1st taker. I will be posting at least 1 other package Tuesday; hope I can send this as well. Good trading!
