There are three sub-types of German 100 Mark note dated between 1883 and 1908. They are distinguished by the seals. Between 1883 and 1891, there was a single red seal (P#12 and P#15), between 1896 and 1908 there were two red seals (P#16, P#18, P#20, P#22, P#24, P#30 and P#33) and in 1908 there were also two green seals (P#34). However, we currently only have two entries, “red seal” and “green seal”. This strikes me as inconsistent, with the “red seal” entry implying that all have two seals.

Can I suggest one of two remedies? First, combine the two current pages into a single entry. Second, split the “red seal” entry into “one red seal” and “two red seals” and rename “green seal” as “two green seals”. Since we also split the later 100 Mark notes between red and green seals, the second option would be the least disruptive.

Hello!

I like this type of identification and separation. We need to consult the referee @Pcoetzee5 to find out what he thinks about it.

Greetings,

I will have a look, and think this could be a worthwhile split.

Hello, @Pcoetzee5

Is there anything here we need to move forward?

Hello, @ceh2019.

Could you please create a page for P#12 and P#15 combined, titled "100 Mark (Reichsbanknote; one red seal)"? Since we already have a page covering all red seal entries, I believe it would be easy to create a new one from there.

Once we have this database, we can adjust things with the existing one, leaving only the types with two red seals.

Then, we'll deal with the green ones, okay?

Regards,

Vladimir.

Done. I've modified some of the translations, which weren't very good. If you're happy with them, they can be used on the other two pages.

Thank you! I see that your request is on the issuer referee's request list. We'll wait a few days for approval and then we'll do what's necessary to adjust things. =)

Thank you, Philip!

Perhaps an adjustment to the Rosen/Grab catalog reference number is needed on the pages. The users of lines p12 (only two) have already been transferred to the new page.
