Some of my older coins from Poland

Recently found these 1930s pre war silver Polish coins stashed away in a cupboard. I bought them 7 years ago as single coins and groups. Looks like I made a good choice when looking at prices in 2025 compared to 2018. Beautiful pieces featuring Lady Jadwiga and Marshal Jozef Pilsudski. Paid under £10 for some of the lots including the large 10 Zlotych pieces and under £5 each for the 5 and 2 denomination coins. I remember the Polish seller of the battered 10 Zlotych coin in the capsule telling me this coin was found by a friend when metal detecting in Lviv,Ukraine. I don't know how true it is though it is believable if you know the history of the city prior to it being part of the USSR and now modern day Ukraine. Thought i'd share these wonderful pieces with everyone!. Poland is one of my favourite countries to collect coins from due to the vast amount of regular base metal types through the decades and the sheer amount of commemoratives they've produced in recent years.

That is a nice collection. 😎 Thanks for sharing.

I am collecting the between-the-wars  period of Polish coins.

The 5 and 10 Zloty pieces are hard to find over here.

Thankyou very much. Can't believe the prices of them now since buying them compared to other countries silver from that period. Polish coins post war are interesting too with all the different types. Pretty much no value by the time of the end of the cold war so people had buckets full .
