What causes this?

Discussion about Uzbekistan • 50 Soʻm

As you can see, on both the 50 and 100 So'm, there seems to be extra metal - for the 50 on the right, under the “O'M” of “SO'M” (the coin on the left is normal), and on the 100, on the top-left example.  The other 100's have extra metal on the “00” of the “100”. In these, they all seem to be example of poor-quality strikes.
It is as simple as saying that they /are/ poor quality strikes? Or is something more technical going on?

Hi,

I think, they are cuds caused by a not cleaned die between strikes, they are not considered variants and take no additional value.
