When doing an Add To My Collection, there is an input field named Buying Value.  What are we supposed to put in there, the face value of the coin, or the numismatic value?  Thanks in advance for all replies

Hello 🤖

Without pictures, it will be very difficult for anyone to help you. Could you please post clear pictures of each side of your item?

Please note that this is an automatic message. Feel free to ignore if it is not relevant.

Exactly what it's says on the tin… the price you've paid for your item.

Some people add handling and shipping and/or auction fees some don't.

If you've got it from circulation, I put the face value in.

Thank you so much!!!!

I know it's probably not the intention, but I enter the current (NUMISTA) value there. The amounts I enter are automatically added together and appear under "My Values" on the homepage of "My Collection." This way, I always have a general idea of the value of my collection.

Which is exactly what the Estimate under My values does.

But not all coins on numista have estimates :)

fjjohnson: No idea what the "estimate" is good for.
RegularCoiner: You can enter the Numista value, the auction results...

Correct but then they couldn't “enter the Numista value” could they?  If you enter the Numista value if they exist then the Estimate and My values are identical.

Thats why i use the my values for, the value of the coins.
