Hello,

I would like to request the removal of Isfandiyar Jurji Bahadur (1910-1918) as a ruler that issued coins.

Based on several sources it is my conclusion that no coins were issued during his reign.

Currently 1 coin is listed on Numista which is the 1 pul of 1910-1911 (AH1328-1329) however this is erroneous.

Please see forum topic regarding “Isfandiyar Jurji Bahadur 1 Pul 1910-11 C#3.2” which includes the sources mentioned above.

As the referee for the Khanate of Khiva I concur with this request. There is no substantive evidence that coins were issued under this ruler, and unless more evidence comes to light in the future, it is my opinion that the coin attributed to him should be removed.

This is the linked page that should be deleted: https://en.numista.com/242280

To add: I’m not sure where the members who currently report owning this coin should be moved. I do find it interesting there seems to be an entire handful of members who claim to own this coin, yet not one of them uploaded images of their examples.

Im not sure which coin these people truly have, and therefore I’m not sure where they should be moved to

If the examples of 1 Pul coins on zeno.ru are taken into account it would appear any examples are very difficult to date exactly.

Also the information provided by both SARC and Dr Nastich would suggest the dates are sometimes mis-interpreted. For the most part any examples thought to be of Isfandiyar's reign seem to be for the previous Khan, Muhammad. I would suggest this is where they should be transferred. Although without actual examination of the individual coins this is hard to say.

I don't have access to the number of members who have this coin but I do know that the member currently offering a swap of one states that the coin that they offer is not actually one of these when I looked into a swap.

Can we proceed with this deletion now?

Many thanks

With regard to those members who believe they have a coin issued under the reign of Isfandiyar. Based on the research and catalogue of Vladimir Nastich and Wolfgang Schuster, there are notes on page 208 of their publication that address coins attributed to Isfandiyar.

These coins should more correctly be attributed to the previous Khan, Muhammad Rahim II. (see below) therefore I would recommend moving them to N#165862, or KM#Y3.1
