I can't see any design in your picture. 

It might be blurry if it is photographed too close, better to pull back a bit and then crop the picture. 

You can also try lighting it first from one side then another to create shadows that show the image.

Or if you can see something when you hold it and look at different angles, then draw that onto a copy of the picture 

 Also - make the pictures outside, and add diameter.
