A friend found this coin/token yesterday with his metal detector. Dated 1575, it looks similar to both the French Dozain of Henri 3rd and some tokens of the same period. However we have been unable to find one with the same reverse. Grateful for your suggestions. Thanks.

Hi, Yes french token, for Henri III

bonjour

Im pretty sure I found the same coin a few weeks ago. Have you found anymore info on it?

No, only the information supplied by respondents to the original post. Pretty sure that as mentioned, it is a Jeton dated 1575 and issued under Henri 3rd of France.

Ok thanks i assume its the same as yours I cant find anything else similar

It would be easier without your fingers to read the legend :

CAMERAE. COMPVTOR. REGIORVM

or

CAMERA COMPVTORVM REGIORVM

Only pics I have at the moment

These token with an “ecu de France couronné accosté de deux H couronnés” are listed under Henri II in the Feuardent. But no token from Henri II bear CAMERAE. COMPVTOR. REGIORVM on reverse.

So may be an unregistered token from Henri III as the token above.
