Hi,
I have this 100 lire Vatican 1950 gold coin which has a strange circled shape discoloration on the reverse. Even more strange is that I found several other pictures online of similar discolorations on other 100 lire 1950 coins. Does anyone know what would have caused this? Does this do anything about the value of the coin? Thank you for your help.
