Hi

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry to ask you, but it is educating me

How do you see the mint mark?

Sorry I see “T” under castle

Mine appears to be a “B”

Identifying mint mark,

With the help of the Toledo mint hint:

N#107660

N#123042

That page says it is not a letter, but a shell, under the castle.

Therefore, as yours looks to have a B there, then the eBay seller

has maybe got it wrong. Though for now, yes it is a Spanish coin.

I see other questions and replies while writing inbetween.

Size and weight doesn't fit the OP's coin.

Maybe if I try to read the lettering, then see which coin it may be.

But which? Toledo or Burgos?

Burgos fits, Toledo does not. It is definitely a B

I think the eBay seller got the right coin, wrong mint.

Edit - although, maybe it was correct - just not the Burgos mint!

Royal Mint of Burgos (Real Casa de la Moneda de Burgos), Spain
