Unidentified coin - please help

7 posts • viewed 66 times

I recently acquired this coin at a bazaar in Turkey, but I haven’t been able to identify it. If anyone can help, I’d greatly appreciate it.

It appears to be copper (though I’m not entirely sure). Its measurements are:

  • Weight: 6.02 g
  • Diameter: 16.06 mm

The obverse shows a female face, while the reverse depicts a cup with symbols beneath.

Dear ZacUK

Thanks a million !

The item in the second picture is called a Kylix

N#146189

That is similar but not the same, but does have N on lower right.

 Reverse
Kylix with the name of the city under it.

Lettering: A NA

Mint: Anaphe, Aegaean Islands, modern-day Anafi, Greece

Dear ZacUK

Many thanks for your exceptionally swift and highly professional response

Thanks - hopefully other members may find a site with pictures.
