Fake England footballer medals from 1990 [solved]

Hi,

Just updating the UK exonumia catalogue, and found an interesting situation… someone has been creating fake entries for England footballers who were in the England football squad for the World Cup but for whom no medals were issued!

The Esso World Cup Collection 1990 consisted of 15 English players and 15 Scottish players, see photo below.

It took me a while to work out what was going on.

These are the fake entries, the giveaway is there is no obverse image!
