I have tried (unsuccessfully) to identify the item in the pictures. It is made of brass or bronze and weighs 4 grams
It is octagonal and the reverse face is blank. It looks to me that there is a “C” and “No” and the number “1” indented on the front face.
There is also a stags head in the centre. I found it in a field on the banks of the river Forth near Edinburgh in Scotland.
Any help with an identification would be appeciated.
