Klapmützen-taler with 2 Minsmeister ?

While analyzing some coins, I came across an unusual detail: they bear marks from two different mintmasters who belonged to different mints and were active at different times. The time gap between them is around 10 years.

The same question was sent to the Leipzig Mint Museum — no response. Perhaps due to a lack of information or an unwillingness to share it.

One of the coins was sold at a German auction in 1989, the other appeared in the “Coins of Germany 1500–1700” section of the “Violity” auction.

Does anyone have an idea how such a combination of mintmarks could have come about?

Coins can also have engraver marks. For example - N#98946 - you are looking at coin with marks by three different people.

According to the Krause Catalog of German Coins, both coins (from auctions in Germany and Violity) bear the marks of mintmasters.
What stands out is that both mintmasters served until around 1500 and had most likely retired by the time the coins were issued in 1519 at the Leipzig mint.

This raises the possibility of a commemorative issue. But could it be possible in the period of noble heraldic dominance?
