The REAL Value of 50p Coins?

Hi,

I cannot fathom the true cost of 'rare' 50p coins. 
ebay prices range from a few pounds to several thousands. 

My collection consists of Peter Rabbit, Beatrice Potter,1918 people Act, Justice Scales,Peace-Prosperity & Peace With All Nations, Paddington Bear amongst many others imprints.

I also own London Underground £2.00 Coin.
