Hello. This is the real Goloid Metric Dollar N#23017 It has 38 stars as there were only 38 stars when the pattern coin was produced in 1879.

What you have is a mimic (similar copy) of the real pattern coin and does have 40 stars, and is probably not Goloid.  The page you looked at was probably copied from the page for the real one and whoever copied it didn't bother to change 38 stars to 40 stars.

Maybe @JLHare can fix and find out the real composition and date for the exonumia piece.

and … this my coin with 40 stars is … FAKE ???

It is not a Goloid pattern coin. It is a bullion round styled after the Goloid Patterns.  If the text on the reverse is correct it has the following composition:

Gold 5.3%

Silver 84.7%

Copper 10.0%

To repeat, it is not a Goloid Pattern Coin. It is a modern bullion round made to resemble the Pattern Coins. If the composition on the reverse is true then it has:

Gold 0.76 grams

Silver 12.07 grams

Copper 1.43 grams

So as of today US $96 melt value.

You have one of these like you thought: N#189184
