Coin Identification [solved]

Good day, I'm hoping to get some assistance with a coin I found yesterday. It is in terrible condition and only has a few identifying features. It rang up as silver on my metal detector. The following are approximate measurements due to the level of ‘crustiness’:

Diameter - 30mm

Thickness - 1.8 to 2.0mm

Weight - 7g

I can't tell much about the rim and the edge but it seems to have a very thin rim and a smooth edge. Identifying features that I can see on the obverse:

Letters COM.ZEL with the blade of a sword pointing towards the rim just after;

The shape of a leg in bottom left quadrant;

A shield in the bottom right quadrant;

The letters ‘PRO’ in bottom right quadrant.

On the reverse, some letters are visible but I cannot match them to anything online.

At a wild and totally inexperienced guess, it seems to be a silver ducat from the Netherlands, maybe between 1760 and 1790? Any assistance with identification would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

 Fist picture, something like

A MO NO ARG PRO CONFŒ BELG COM ZEL

 On reverse various lettering, further from edge

… OV … P … RATIO …  D . S …

 Still looking. Some lettering added …

 Yes, looks like a leg on obverse, with a figure holding a shield at feet, and a raised sword.

The reverse however is a mystery - what design is there? Looks like maybe just three

circles of lettering - the middle red one, then fairly sure some smaller lettering inside

that, and maybe outermost some more - as the red lettering looks further in than the obverse.

 Strangely from the same country as yourself - and it does

have those circles of lettering on the reverse, but not the

same lettering. Also of course not silver. Still looking

Yes, I can find a match for the front, but not the back so I'm very confused. What metal do you think it would be made from?

 Oh dear, all those hours looking, and it was one of the first items

that I saw on a  COM ZEL  search on here, at the end of the list …

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php?r=COM+ZEL&st=147-150-149&cat=y&im1=&im2=&ru=&ie=&ca=3&no=&v=&a=&dg=&i=&b=&m=&f=&t=&t2=&w=&mt=&u=&g=&c=&wi=&sw=

 and it is made of Pewter, it says on that page, and is indeed that  BP  token …

 as all those hours searching found nothing with lettering in circles like that.

Not sure what the rest of it is, apart from those few letters in red on

an earlier reply, but it is a South African petrol token. Will see what other members say …

 Here you go - just a few letters highlighted >

 So like it says, the obverse is copied from a 1696 RixDollar "Rijksdaalder" coin >

 Additionally, about 60 years ago in the 1960's there was a set of five to collect.

 "BP Treasure Trove" / "BP-Skatkis":

Veldpond
Koban / Koban
Rixdollar / Riksdaalder 1696 [yours]
1/2 Half Ducatoon / 1/2 Dukaton 1656
Piece of Eight / Spaanse Mat c.1620

 Not sure what it looks like inside, but here is the

front cover of the album to put them in

 Then in that earlier link for the token there are links to each of the other four.

Oh wow! Thank you so much for all your hard work. I'm disappointed obviously, but not surprised. I was starting to think that it was a token of some sort because of the lettering on the reverse, how far it was from the edge and just the absolute absence of anything online that matched. Nonetheless, it is extremely interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed reading all the research. Thank you so much!! Much appreciated.😊

 Thanks :)
